FAQs

COVID-19 + BOOU DOG TREATS

Our upcoming markets may have been cancelled/postponed, but we are still open and taking orders. At this time, we are not experiencing any interruptions in fulfilling orders, and any previously placed orders (including cake orders) will be processed and fulfilled as scheduled. We have however taken precautions to ensure the safety of ourselves and our customers:

  • We are doing contact-free deliveries every Saturday in lieu of our cancelled markets, free of charge to all our customers. This option is available through our checkout process. Any orders for free delivery on Saturday must be placed by Friday at 5pm.

  • We are also continuing to do contact-free pick ups directly from us in Kelligrews.
At this time, we are not accepting cash as a method of payment. Customers can place an order through our website and pay with credit, or e-transfer funds to pay for their order.

Q: Can I stop by your store?

A: We are a home based dog bakery and currently operate out of markets and events in and around St. John's. Visit us at one of our upcoming markets, or orders can be placed anytime through our website for pick up or delivery.

Q: I don't live near by. Can I order treats online and get them shipped?

A: Because of the perishable nature of our treats, we do not ship any of our products. Customers have the options to:
    • Pick up your order from us in the Kelligrews area of Conception Bay South
    • Pick up your order at our next market
    • Local delivery (not a shipping option) for fresh treats brought right to your door. Our delivery area includes Conception Bay South, St. John's, Mount Pearl, Paradise, Goulds and Portugal Cove-St. Phillip's.
An additional charge may apply for deliveries outside our standard delivery area.

Q: How should I store these treats?

A: Our baked treats are made with fresh ingredients, making them a perishable product. We recommend refrigerating them for up to 2 weeks or freezing them for up to 3 months.
Our homemade jerky (chews) are dehydrated without any preservatives. Our chews have a much longer shelf life than our baked treats. We recommend storing our jerky in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.

TIP: Try storing your baked treats in the freezer, taking treats down into the fridge as needed. This way you always have fresh, healthy treats on hand. You can even give your pooch frozen treats to keep cool during the warm summer months!

Q: Are your treats grain free?

A: All of our homemade chews are free of grains and contain only one ingredient, making them a great option for dogs with allergies. Our baked treats are made with a wholesome, high fibre whole wheat flour blend. If your dog has an allergy or intolerance to grains, we do offer WHEAT free versions of our regular treat flavours. You can find these in the "Baked Treats" section of our website.

A note about our ingredients and allergies:

Some of our treats and cakes contain common allergens such as peanuts. Because all of our products are made in the same kitchen we are unable to guarantee our treats are "free of" specific ingredients due to potential cross-contamination.
